What is Moon Madness?
Moon Madness is a phenomenon that occurs during the full moon, in which people become more prone to both verbal and physical aggression. It is believed that this occurs due to the effect the full moon has on certain individuals’ sleep and emotional behavior. This can sometimes even result in people behaving unpredictably and violently towards those around them. This phenomenon is linked to the popular belief that the full moon causes a rise in eccentric behavior, but scientific evidence has yet to be able to explain it conclusively. Nevertheless, there is a long-standing folklore across many different cultures that points to the full moon as a time of heightened emotion and danger. While it is important to remain aware of a potential cause of aggression, it is important to remember that the full moon has not been scientifically linked to any kind of higher-than-typical bouts of aggression.
