What is Sweat?
Sweat is a clear, salty liquid produced by the sweat glands in the skin. Sweat is produced in two to four million sweat glands throughout the body and can contain a large variety of substances depending on the situation. It is typically odorless but can be made to smell if the sweat mixes with bacteria on the skin. Sweat is an essential part of the body’s cooling system and helps to regulate the body’s temperature when it is too hot. Sweating is good for you!
