What is a Bullie?
A Bullie is a slang term for a bully. This a person who habitually seeks to harm or threaten others. Bullying can occur among all age groups, it is most common among children and teenagers who may engage in physical, verbal and emotional abuse. Bullies may use behavior which includes insult, discrimination, humiliation and exclusion. Bullies may target individuals based on their physical characteristics, religious beliefs, sexual orientation, race or cultural background, as well as many other factors. Bullying can have a lasting effect and may cause feelings of self-doubt and concern for personal safety. It can also lead to depression, anxiety or thoughts of suicide and self-harm. Schools and other organizations are taking a tougher stance against bully behavior by instituting strict rules and programs which punish or suspend those involved.
