What Is An Angel?
Angels are spiritual beings believed to have superhuman powers and act as intermediaries between humans and God. They have been a part of religious traditions throughout history, including Christianity and other older religions. Angels are often depicted as having wings and a human-like form, though they are traditionally thought to be incorporeal. They are also said to be able to carry out god’s will on Earth, serving as messengers or even protectors. In some traditions, angels are seen as beings of tremendous power and wisdom, responsible for granting wishes and performing miracles. Angelic visits have been reported throughout history and Angels are said to possess many of the same characteristics as human beings, such as emotions and intellect, though on a much higher level. Angels are also thought to be political figures, charged with overseeing the affairs of nations and managing the spiritual aspects of governments. Ultimately, angels represent a symbol of hope, comfort, and benevolence to their followers and are venerated for the divine presence that they bring.
