Refranation: What Is It In Astrology?
Now we are going to explore the term in Astrology called a Refranation. This aspect occurs when you are expecting something to happen but it does not. This term usually applies in Horary but it can also happen in other types of charts. What happens is the faster Planet such as Mercury, Venus and Mars is moving to make an important aspect but goes Retrograde before completing the aspect. It can also occur when one planet moves into the next sign also. This aspect basically means that what you expected to happen will not happen.
Now, lets reiterate what is a Refranation:
1. When two planets are applying to an aspect and one of them turns retrograde before the aspect culminates. This is what happens, it refrains from completing the aspect. Whatever is promised by the aspect, it will not materialize due to the Refranation. It is also called “Broken Promises”.
2. There are two types: One is when the Planet or Moon changes sign before the Moon or Planet can complete the aspect. Two is when a Planet goes Retrograde or Direct before the aspect is completed.
Type of Aspects Involved: Can be a Conjunction, Sextile, Square, Trine or Opposition. Other Astrologers are researching other aspects to see if they work. More research needs to done on this regarding other aspects, Declination or Fixed Stars.
